In 1992 the number of immigrants from Europe was 26,870 then it decreased sharply to 17,411 in 2002.
In 1992 the number of immigrants from North America was 2,570 while in 2002 was 900.
In 1992 the number of immigrants from Northeast Asia was 9,190 then it increased gradually to 19,152 in 2002.
